Octanal, also known as caprylic aldehyde or octyl aldehyde, is a natural fatty aldehyde flavor widely found in citrus fruits, roses, jasmine and other natural plants. Our octanal has a purity of ≥98%, complying with EU natural flavor standards, with pure aroma and no off-flavors.
As an important aldehyde flavor intermediate, octanal can be used to synthesize various ester flavors, and is also a key fragrance raw material in food, cosmetic and tobacco industries. Its fresh citrus aroma makes it a common component in perfume formulation.
